THE GIRL

Time to catch up on Lauren....

Science Project
She and her friend Taylor co-conspired to pull off this science project. As I have fore-to mentioned, science projects make me growl inside. Lucky for me they did most of it themselves.......

Sharp Competetion
The Cram Middle School cheerleaders competed at the Sharp International cheer/dance event that was held at the Cashman Center here in Las Vegas on April 20th. All I know is that we had to be there super early in the morning and they won a bunch of trophies.... and I ate some chicken fingers.

Cram cheerleaders also competed down at Knott's Berry Farm for a Sharp Int. competition the first weekend in May. They brought home lots of trophies and had a really fun time down there.
GO WILDCATS!!

Say Cheese
Then there was picture day, on a really hot day.... at the park.
The girls were great- no complaints- well except for the sun that they were facing.....
Lauren has squinty eyes but still looks cute!!

On Friday, April 12th Lauren tried out for the Legacy High School cheer team.....
she wasn't 100% sure she wanted to do it but she made the Junior Varsity team!!!
GO LAUREN!!!

Shelby, Sydney and Lauren- these 3 have been try out buddies since 6th grade

Show Production
On May 14 & 15 Lauren performed as a Cram cheerleader for the last time. They performed all the cheers, pom routines, dances and show production of Grease. Ms. Gourdine, their coach, taught them a lot, yelled at them a lot and pushed them constantly to be better. It was a great two years, I'm glad Lauren had this opportunity.... but you know it is time to move on when your uniform has gotten way too small. Haha!!

I'm so proud of Lauren and all of her hard work!! Everyday after school she had one hour study/homework time then two hours of cheer practice. It hasn't been easy but it has been rewarding. It is good times with friends, good exercise, and gives her structure and discipline. We will see how it all works out next year in high school..........

p.s. if I never see or have to attach a curly ponytail to Lauren's head again, it will still be too soon!! Sayonara  ratty, weird, unmanageable curly mess!!
