The next leg of our adventure involved driving from Seattle and down the coast to San Francisco. First stop was the town of Astoria. We stopped at the Flavel House first then checked out the house from the movie Goonies. Evidently the person who recently purchased the Goonies House doesn't like people gawking at the place and has put up signs and threatens to call the police if you look in it's general direction. Probably not the smartest house to buy if you are a recluse.... just saying. The house is on a little hill and you can still see it and take photos with it in the background, so we still win! We continued down the coast and stopped at Cannon Beach. The massive rocks in the ocean were amazing! Plus this is where they filmed the ending of Goonies. It was pretty chilly there- too bad because the beaches are so gorgeous! We carried on down the coast, stopping here and there to take pictures and enjoy the beauty. We stopped at Tillamook and took the tour and sampled cheese. We stayed the night somewhere along the way and woke to continue our journey with Newport, an old lighthouse, and our first glimpse of BIG trees. We found a tree to drive through and was big enough for all of us to stand in. We make it to Eureka in time for dinner at a mexican joint and check in to our cute yellow bed and breakfast. Haven't made it to San Francisco yet but tomorrow is another day.....
