Christmas 2016

Merry Christmas!!

Have you ever thought about why people have traditions? Why do we repeat the same things year after year, especially those activities associated with holidays. Maybe it's awesome and we can't imagine living life any other way, or perhaps it just works and this way we don't have to come up with any new ideas. Either way you look at it our family does a lot of celebrating in the name of tradition. We had our family diner and visit from Santa Claus- the bigger kids were less than thrilled but they still told Santa what they wanted for Christmas. On Christmas Eve we had dinner at Macayo because everyone correlates Christmas with Mexican food, right? The kids opened their usual Christmas Eve gift of pajamas, left some cookies and donuts for Santa, then we all got nestled and snug in our beds. We opened gifts Christmas morning, the kids were spoiled and got new iPhones, then we were off to church. We met up with the Nelson side of our family for China-A-Go-Go. We opened gifts and are excited about our upcoming trip to San Diego from Grandma and Grandpa Nelson!! We are truly blessed and enjoyed every minute!!
