Disney Day One

Saturday, February 22, 2014

A whole year and a quarter had painstakingly passed since our last escape from reality. The withdrawals were rough but we trudged through, knowing that one day we would return. I stumbled upon some info regarding Dapper Day at Disneyland and knew at once that we needed to be there. Of course one day just wouldn't do- so we got the 3-day park hopper to be certain we got our Disney fix. Our first day there was a Saturday and we spent the majority of our time at California Adventure. We braved the hair frizzing waters of Grizzly Rapids, turned ourselves upside down on Screamin', and risked the contents of our stomachs on Tower of Terror. We were able to get fast passes for Radiator Springs Racers and really lucked out when someone gave us fast passes too. So we rode it twice with almost no wait at all!! With Dapper Day on the horizon they had a little convention set up at the Grand Californian Hotel. We strolled about and checked it out, Jace found some snazzy glasses to try on. Nightfall came and it got a little chilly so we all put on our jackets. I had just gotten Jace a new pull over jacket and when he put it on Lauren said he looked like a European model- so of course we had to take some modeling shots.
Day one was a success, we rode every ride in the park and had a great day.
Tomorrow- Dapper Day! Can't wait!

Someone pined this on Jason's backpack..... we later passed it along
