This lovely photo was taken at around 3am Friday morning.......So yes that means I was one of the lunatics waiting in a sold out line to see a "teen" movie. The best part of the night wasn't finally getting to see Edward's skin shimmer in the sunlight or even the first kiss Bella and Edward shared. It was, however, the fact that some moms got together and shared some conversation, food and a good time. You can really start to get to know someone a little better as midnight rolls around. As for the movie, well I enjoyed it but as you all know the book is always better than the movie and that probably stems from the fact that our minds imagine things in the book the way we want them to be, and honestly, who can compete with that. Extra bonus for us occurred when we arrived in line at 10pm to find it really looooong, kinda bummed out and worried if we would be able to even sit together we asked a worker about where we stood. She informed us that she had just seated an unadvertised 12:30am showing and only about 15 people were in the theatre. So we happily exchanged our 12:10 tickets and ended up with great seats in an uncrowded theatre. SCORE!Monday, November 24, 2008

GOOD TIMES
YEE-HAWWW!!!! Jason received some box seat tickets to the PBR last week and since it was last minute and a Thursday night, we had no babysitter or time to find one. So that made it Jace's lucky night. He spruced himself up in his boots and western shirt and he and Jason were off to view some bull riding and calf wranglin' and since they were in the box seats they even got some grub.I was a little jealous but
the boys got some bonding time together.
the boys got some bonding time together.A few Saturdays ago we stumbled upon a really fun park. It's definitely not the traditional slide and swing version and looks like a playground Ikea would design. We went again on Tuesday with some cousins and friends to show them how much fun it is. While they do have a toddler slide, it's built to accommodate older kids with all it's spinning features. If you're prone to motion sickness it's probably not for you as most of the toys make you quite dizzy, but if you just want to laugh your head off then I say go. It's actually quite a small park but Lauren and Jace love it and are constantly asking when they can go back.

The new Aliante Station is finally open!! We went there for dinner on Friday and while you could tell they were still trying to work the bugs out in the restaurant, it was pretty good. We walked around and checked everything out- I'm loving the design with all the natural elements and textures. Below is a picture of Jace and his cousin Ava relaxing by the pool and a picture of the bathroom vanity which isn't just random but has the bronze metal on it that I'm doing a research paper on. If you go- check out the hotel check-in desk, it's back lit onyx and also check out the amber light above the onyx table by the check-in desk. LOVE THEM!!Sunday, November 9, 2008
HALLOWEEN HAUNTS
The autumn air was crisp as we prepared to trick or treat the awaiting neighborhood. Lauren and Jace suddenly went missing, then to my surprise Alice in Wonderland and Indiana Jones arrived to participate in the festivities.
The fun came to a close and Lauren and Jace reappeared to gobble up the candy their counterparts had acquired. We also had a fun Halloween party at Grandma & Grandpa's house the Monday before with games, dinner in a pumpkin and a scary movie.
Lauren and Jace both had great school parties too. There was a costume parade, games, pizza and of course yummy treats.

And really, would it be a successful Halloween without someone losing a tooth? The tooth fairy must be going broke visiting these kids. Just to clarify it wasn't a candy induced loss, it was just ready to move on and let another tooth have a stab at being cavity free- cross your fingers!

DISNEYLAND
Some fun pictures of our Disneyland trip.......
Or trip began as we headed out of this dust bowl Wednesday(Oct.22). As we drove I knew I had to be forgetting something(because I always do) and somewhere between the worlds largest thermometer in Baker and Peggy Sue's Diner it hit me- I forgot my flat iron. Now if you know my hair you now that it's a NECESSITY not an option. Well Thursday morning as I'm getting ready and wondering what to do it hits me- why not just use the iron? So Jason helped me out and ironed my hair straight on the ironing board. What a great husband! With that problem solved we headed to Disneyland for a magical day. The crowds were thin and we rode everything we wanted to and more. We decided to eat dinner at the hotel that night and that was a mistake. We were at the Hilton(which I got for $50 a night) and the dining area looked nice and the food was good just tiny portions and big price. Lesson learned. The bigger problem was that Jason left the backpack at the restaurant and didn't realize until Friday as we were heading out. So we asked around nobody had seen it. Luckily we were only out our sunglasses, some treats and bottled water- but that meant we didn't have a way to carry our stuff around Disneyland. Being the troopers that we are we made it through w/o those extra things. Friday we spent most of the day at California Adventure. It's great to be at the point where we can ALL ride EVERYTHING together. No baby passes, no waiting out. Even better is the fact that Lauren and Jace aren't scaredy cats so we went on Screamin', Tower of Terror, Space Mountain and their favorite Thunder Mountain Railroad at night. Saturday we drove down to Newport and Balboa beach. We looked for shells, walked the piers and ate lunch at BJ's on Balboa beach. Saturday night it was back to Disneyland for some more fun. Sunday we hit both parks again before returning home and back to reality. As usual we had a great trip with a lot of ups and because we're human a few downs. BONUS: As I was checking out on Sunday the lady who I'd asked about the backpack saw me and told me someone had found it, so we got it back afterall!

GO VOTE
It's official, I'm ADDICTED to talk radio. I can't help it I'm going CRAZY with this dang election. I say I won't listen then I won't know then I can claim ignorance but the radio keeps going back. I want to SCREAM out at the nutty people who are falling for this craziness but it's true that everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion. I don't want to tell anyone who to vote for BUT if you think you might be on the fence listen to 840AM anytime between 9am and 5pm. I just have to do something so that is my little bit of hope thrown out there. Don't forget to VOTE next Tuesday.
GO RED!!!

QUICK BLURB
Alright here it goes.....
Wednesday Jason had the opportunity to participate in the Richard Petty Experience at the race track. He did the EOL or Experience of a Lifetime package which allowed them to have three , 10 lap periods, and in between they learned pointers to help them be a little more successful. His top speed was 144mph, glad I didn't do the ride along, they'd of had to pull my fingers out of the dash like in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Jason had a great time and we went out to see him but only made it in time for his last two laps because Lauren had dance. I didn't get any good pics but you get the idea.
Old School trivia: Where was this train when we were growing up and what did it always smell like?
Lauren's class went on a field trip to the Heritage Museum on Thursday and I was lucky enough to experience that with her. I have to say for a town with little history it was a pretty cool little museum. I liked the little houses the best. I had that cute little group of kids up above(hope nobody minds their kids on my blog) they are such good observant students.
An old jail- looks like these girls a going in for questioning!

MOTHER NATURE HAS LOST HER MIND!!
The weekend started out early and we were on the road to Cedar by noon. Lunch was put on hold for we were saving ourselves for Marv's, a little burger joint in St. George that came highly recommended. The burger was satisfactory, although a little pricey for fast food, but take a gander at the corn dog Jace is barely able to hold up. Leave it to Utah to come up with the footlong corn dog.
Check it out!! We picked up Theodore from the Chipmunks, he was hitchin' a ride to perform at the Shakespearean festival. Jason actually bought those lovelies at the antique depot for ????

The fall colors were still clinging to the trees when we arrived at our cabin on Friday. Everyone had an equal opportunity to have their photo taken on the fence post with the beautiful colors as a backdrop. The pics of the family and the one of my parents was taken on Sunday and if you notice, the clouds of Mother Nature's wrath are still looming over the mountain behind us.

On Saturday Mother Nature decided that she'd had just about enough of fall and decided to unleash the winter warriors a little prematurely. We decided to get a closer look at this nonsense and took a little drive to the top of Cedar mountain. Sure enough it was blanketed in snow, while hints of fall still struggled to be seen. We decided to take advantage of this tirade and enjoy some snowball fights, cold weather and hot chocolate.

Grandpa had some pumpkins growing in his garden in Cedar, so we all picked one out to take home for Halloween. We all enjoyed our crazy weathered weekend with some shopping, conference watching and listening, and some good food(except when we had to settle on smuggling Del Taco into the movie for dinner because there was no time to eat).
